Color Sells In Direct Mail

Color psychologist and branding expert, Jill Morton, shared a few general tips about “Finding Colors That Sell” on the Xerox blog.

Among other key points, Morton noted the following:

  1. Three is the best number of colors to use in a single document.
  2. Yellow and black grabs more attention than any other color combination.
  3. Traditionally, blue text gets attention.
  4. Consider the timeless psychological effects of a given color.
  5. Evaluate how traditional colors are used in your business section.
  6. Think about the advantage of shifting to a color alternative.

Simply put, color can be very effective.
